Hearths, Chimneys and Flues - Changes to Building Regulations mean you now need to either:

Refer work to your local authority Building Control Department to be approved and assessed

Use a registered installer who will undertake the work whilst installing a gas fire.

Gas Fires - Gas Safety Regulations specify that all gas fires should be fitted by a registered installer who holds a valid certificate of competence.

All Fires - All fires must be installed in accordance with the manufacturers’ installation instructions, current Building Regulations and must not be fitted directly onto a carpet or floor of combustible materials.
